Sarah-jane is a multidisciplinary artist based in Bristol, exploring outcomes in Drawing, Murals and Moving Image.
Sarah-Jane's work focuses mostly on figures, and explores themes of Women hood, feminism, gender identity, sexuality and mental health.
Their approach to making is playful and curious, as process is the most important part of making, the outcome is secondary to the making of the work. With SJ’s larger scale pieces, there is space for performance and expression, this comes out in Sarah-Janes Mural work too, but the murals allow for more thought out processes and precision.
Life drawing has always been a passion for Sarah-Jane, and she strives for change and thinking big.
They are currently exploring large scale drawings, and are pursuing figure painting, and pushing their murals more. And is currently looking for clients to work with them on creating large scale drawings, and to present work in Exhibitions and Art Fairs.
Sarah-Jane strives to be international, and is open to working across the globe.
